The common phrase is: “When one door shuts, another one opened.” However, recently, the exact opposite happened to Adam Devine. After Peacock renewed his streaming studio and Pitch Perfect spin-off, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Paramount+ canceled the Workaholics film for his “best friends,” Blake Anderson, Adam DeVine, Anders Holm and Kyle Newacheck.

Devine wrote a short post on Instagram telling people how discontented he’s with the cancellation of the offer, and told them to use the word “loosest butthole” to refer to the news. Nevertheless, the so-called movie won’t lose hope.

According to Devine, the foursome are shopping for other streams. Given the fact they were ready to work in two weeks, we could hear more clearly a positive or negative development.

Workaholics don’t have to look to see a new streaming home, given the popularity of it.

The Comedy Central situational comedy series aired from 2011 to 2017 and starred the said foursome in a group based in California in which some high school students work for a telemarketing company. It often featured cameos from celebrities and was considered a hit after it was running for 7 relatively successful seasons.

The Workaholics movie was first announced just as the world began showing signs of recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. If pushed through, it would have been keyed on the difficulty of “working through the pandemic”, even if the series had a signature comedic twist.

Before deciding to cancel the tour, 2023 was a good place for the most successful shows. With an unprecedented success in its debut season, Netflix dropped 1899.
