A series of atomic bombs is impossible to use this time to add-ons – and it takes CLCs to expand Open-World territories

For the launch of Atomic Hearts February 21th, Mundfish founder and game director Robert Bagratuni has voted for a multiplayer expansion in the future. Bagratuni described the game as a single-player experience in its entirety, and that no additional add-ons to Atomic Heart are planned at this time and that four new DLCs will significantly expand open-world territory.

In the five years since the announcement began in 2017, Atomic Hearts development was plagued by a series of delays and internal difficulties at Mundfish. Bagratuni attributes these delays to youth, ambition, innovation and new technology. The development team had to abandon several ideas for the game, including the PvP-Multiplayer mode promised in 2019.

When asked if the four new DLCs would be equipped with multiplayer, Bagratuni said it: “It’s all the same”: “That’s not a problem.”

All of the Atomic Heart experience will be for single-player, especially focusing on the story and the player experience. There is no multiplayer add-ons planned for now. A lot of these diversions will increase the player experience with new territories, quests, puzzles, enemies and characters of the world. We plan to expand a lot of the world territories and the new complexes and labs where players will learn more about the Atomic Heart world and meet new challenges.

Atomic Heart runs live on February 21 at the Xbox World. Want an insight into the futuristic first-person shooter RPG? Check out this explosive boss fight preview released in November that pits the protagonist against the world’s angriest mechanical ball.
